Group of objects: Prayer books

The most frequent items found in genizot are prayer books, both for everyday use (siddurim) and for holidays (machzorim). Most of these are ordinary printed books, but what makes them valuable are the ownership notes, information about family events, or individual prayers, ritual fringes, and various bookmarks placed inside. Moreover, siddurim reflect how the language of Jewish prayer has changed in the Czech lands.
